School Work
School projects play a vital role in getting you ready for the business world. May it be preparing an individual report / writing a paper or getting with a group to research about a certain topic and presenting it in front of class. The Naveen Jindal School Of Management has made sure that we are prepared for such situations by instilling the perfect balance of both practical and theoretical projects.
1. Creating an Entity Relationship Diagram
In this assignment we were asked to create an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) which is basically a data model for describing the data or information aspects of a business domain or its process requirements, for the Orthopedic Alliance Of Plano (OAP). The database was going to be used to keep track of all the aspects of its healthcare business.
In the second part of the problem we had to execute data normalization which is basically the process of organizing fields and tables to minimize redundancy and dependancy.

2. Epicor - Prophet 21 Distribution Channels
In this introductory class to Management Information Systems we as a group had to present a company that creates a wholesale distribution software and we chose Epicor - Prophet 21. It is a proven software and has for most companies increased their productivity and efficiency by over 100% thus saving companies time and money. We had to introduce this idea to a pharmaceutical company and show them the various distribution channels they can use to make their everyday tasks quicker and cheaper.
3. Bass Pro Shops in Australia
In our International Business class we were asked as a group of 4 to chose a company and take it to a country abroad that doesn't have that brand there already. We chose the famous American outdoors brand ''Bass Pro Shops'' and decided to take it to Australia. Bass Pro Shops is all about getting you the right things to get outdoors and do what you want. We chose Australia because the Australians love the outdoors and the cultural landscape was very similar.
